This project is aimed to develop a Departmental store management system of a store. This system can be used to store the details of the inventory, update the inventory based on the sale details, produce receipts for sales, generate sales and inventory reports periodically etc. This is one integrated system that contains both the user component, employee and the admin component (used by the administrators for performing admin level functions such as adding new items to the inventory, changing the price of an item etc). This system runs on multiple terminals, offers a GUI interface and connects to a common database(s).

The objective of departmental store management is to provide uninterrupted production, sales, and/or customer-service levels at the minimum cost. A database used for storing and administering all types of data required for efficient and accurate warehouse department store management. This may include modules or fields for keeping track of all items and locations, requisitions, back orders, required levels of inventory on hand, reorder points, lead times, inventory error tracking, and more.

Departmental store is a place where we get all our daily use products.These products are the basic requirements such as clothes, utensils, grocery, toys, watches etc. From the administrator point of view, the management of these products is not an easy job. Since they need to keep track of the products, their various suppliers, the customer details, their employees etc. All these jobs are done mostly manually or using some old software.
The project aims to develop software which will store data about their different products, their manufactures, product’s Inventory status, customer records and even the record of their employees. This system provides accounting, inventory, invoicing information in integrated fashion, preferably with Graphic User Interface(GUI).
Here I conclude, this Departmental store management system is developed and increased facilities for the user has to buy the product easily and administrator also maintaining and updating their records in databases. This system will be used to easy understanding for the user. So this system will reduce the dealer communication, manual calculation and it’s reduces the time spending in the shops.
