This project deals with the ‘Courier Service Management System’. The system is used for daily activities such as booking a courier, maintain employee details, maintain hub details, maintain company details etc,.. In this project , consumer can do courier booking, view courier details and can see the delivery status. The employee will view courier and will dispatch , out return, company details, hub details, and pickup centers. It is very difficult to do this process manually. Hence it is recommended to computerize the process by developing the relative software as the world is turning into information and technology; computerization becomes necessity in all walks of life.
Administrator have his own privileges. He can view the employee details, courier details, and can view the turn over of the company. He is provided with graphical representation of the turn over.
Courier module contains bookings, incomings, out returns, no delivery, hub rates, and pickup centers details. The following are the forms that exist in this module: Booking Form, Incoming Form, Non delivery Form, Out returns Form, Hub rates form, Company details Form, Pickup centers Form.
Booking form contains different text fields, option buttons, list boxes and buttons to enter the details about the source address, destination address, weight, amount details. Incoming form contains the details like source address and destination address the date of delivery. Non delivery form contains the details like forward date, in date, source address and destination address.
This module deals with the details about the employees who are working in the organization. Employee can register their details like employee number, name, and address, date of join, assigned area, and phone number. They use the EmpID to login. They can change the password and view all employee details.
The existing system is not totally automated. Though the system is computerized to a particular extent, it has to do a lot of manual work. The different processes involved are: To maintain details of bookings manually, To maintain details of the incoming couriers, To maintain returns details, To maintain out return details.
